Celebrities including EastEnders star Nitin Ganatra, Miss England 2012 Charlotte Holmes and Mauritian comedian Alexandre Martin (Big B) have joined BUAV's Save Our Monkeys campaign, signing a statement of concern about the monkey trade.

Mauritius is the second largest supplier of monkeys to the research industry, exporting thousands to laboratories around the world every year. Other celebrities backing the initiative include Ricky Gervais and Twiggy.
